Driftwood pointing to eternity
My morning walks have turned into inspiration for some new pieces. Working with the driftwood I found, seeing its endless beauty once fully alive, and rich with green from the nutrients of its environment, and then after God only knows how long it stood, letting go, dieing yet still its beauty and presence remains to bring us joy.
I worked with a few different protective coatings such as tung oil, but it would just keep changing the original colour, and turning it much darker loosing the detail of the wood. So I decided to make my own with bee's wax and mineral oil.
